« Who has not dreamed of bringing back 
a lost loved one back to life? »

• After successfully transposing Gluck « Iphigénie en Tauride » in an organ version, Nariné Simonian directs this season a quartet of baroque musicians  gathered from the best ensembles, as well as solist singers. This company will serve a music score arranged for an Allen grand organ, with 80 registers, replacing the string and brass section as well as the wind instruments.

• The score, arranged by Nariné Simonian for a Allen grand organ with 80 registers replaces the whole orchestra, with the string and the brass section, as well as the wind instruments.

• In line with the origins of the opera, this re-invention of Orfeo ed Eurydice (1774, french version) highlights the sensual voices of the singers and the moving chorus, in a unique close-up opera, whithout heavy machinery.

• The elevated stage allows for everyone to share a good view and incredible accoustics. Music is appreciated within human distance, in what amounts as a true time travel, back to the privilege of old royal entourage.

The Armenian Cathedral Sainte-Croix de Paris is a beautiful place, with a unique history, centrally located in LeMarais, between  rue Turenne and rue Vieille du Temple.

Après le succès triomphal de son Iphigénie en Tauride, la plus célèbre organiste arménienne Nariné réinvente l'opéra Orphée et Euridice à l'orgue

A peine 18 mois après le succès triomphal rencontré par Iphigénie en Tauride de Gluck dans la baroque cathédrale Sainte-Croix, c'est non pas deux, mais trois représentations d'opéra que Nariné Simonian monte cette année. Cela, toujours sans le moindre petit début commencement d'aide ou de subventions autre que Halmahera, le mécène.

Cette année, c'est l'opéra Orphée et Eurydice que la plus célèbre organiste arménienne Nariné réinvente à l'orgue.
En novembre 2009, Nariné Simonian réussissait l'exploit de monter l'opéra baroque "Iphigénie en Tauride" à l'orgue accompagnée par Jozef Kapustka avec Sergei Stilmachenko, Raphaël Schwob, Olivier Ayault, Iulia Vacaru et Irina Tiviane.

This is an excerpt with direct live sound (unplugged) of Gluck opera performed on November 26th at the Cathedrale Sainte-Croix of Paris in the Marais area. An Allen organ replaces the whole orchestra for this exclusive performance, a world premiere

Estrenada el 18 de maig de 1779 a l'Académie de Musique de París. Estrenada en una nova versió en alemany el 23 d'octubre de 1781 al Burgtheater de Viena. Estrena al Gran Teatre del Liceu de la versió vienesa. La segona versió d'Iphigenie auf Tauris, que es presenta ara a Espanya per primera vegada, marcà la fi de l'època parisenca del compositor (1773-1779), en què es produí la famosa querella entre òpera italiana (Piccini) i francesa o reformada (Gluck). Es considera una de les òperes més perfectes i brillants de Gluck, que aconsegueix una extraordinària intensitat expressiva amb la fusió perfecta dels elements musicals i dramàtics. La producció que presenta el NomadOpera ha estata realitzada per la gran coreògrafa Hélène Haag.
